Take the advantage of the tremendous opportunity offered by the affiliate programs. Most major companies that run on the internet are either part of an affiliate program or have launched their own.

Basically, if you launch yourself into affiliate marketing by joining a major affiliate program, you don't have to do much of the advertising work. Your affiliates will do it for you! It's a win-win situation, where the affiliate will have the interest to get you more visitors, more sales in order to cash in the commissions.

Affiliate marketing resources

Affiliate Window (UK), Commission Junction (USA), Dark Blue (Australia), LinkShare (USA), Share A Sale (USA) are among the most popular affiliate programs.

Joining affiliate programs as merchant can cost you: first, they usually charge a fee for opening an account, then you'll pay commissions to them from each sale that is generated to you by the advertisers (affiliates).

Affiliate Window, LinkShare are among the most reputable affiliate programs. They also have many members. (The more popular a program is, the more it is worth for you to join them, as you will find more affiliates to advertise your products/services).

Commission Junction is a major US affiliate program, was among the first affiliate programs launched online. Has a large number of members and a bad reputation in its relation with clients. Commission Junction is known for "kicking out" its affiliates for unspecified reasons, as they "reserve themselves the right" to erase accounts whenever they want, without any prior of further notice. Many affiliates complain of unfair treatment by Commission Junction (unexplained account terminations by confiscation of account commissions earned).

Dark Blue is an Australian affiliate program. But your business doesn't have to be located in Australia in order to join them.

Their interface is easy to use, but have very few clients in comparison with LinkShare, Affiliate window.

Share A Sale is a US affiliate program with high popularity, many members, but their communication with their clients/partners could be more efficient (same problem as with Linkshare: no replies on e-mails, etc).

It's up to your which you'd join. Keep in mind the tremendous benefits of affiliate marketing! It's one of the easiest ways to get your business "heard" on the internet. Generate sales, clicks or leads easily.
